Meet Our Founder

Camille (Cam) Sanders is an association and nonprofit professional with significant experience developing and implementing strategies that help achieve critical organizational goals. As an innovative membership and marketing strategist, Cam has a track record of spearheading significant growth for membership organizations, improving retention of members and customers, and successfully launching new programs that grow revenue and exceed participants' expectations. She is a respected leader who also possesses deep experience in project management, working with volunteer leaders, and leading professional staff.

 Cam is an alumna of the American Society of Association Executives' (ASAE) prestigious Diversity Executive Leadership Program (Class of 2019-21) and is committed to professional growth and development. She has met rigorous professional standards, earning highly regarded industry certifications as a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and Professional Certified Marketer (PCM). In 2023, Cam completed a Digital Marketing Strategy and Planning program, earning a topical specialization certificate and certification through the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) and Coursera. She graduated from Liberty University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies focused on two core areas of study, Business and Strategic Communications. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Business Administration  in Organizational Management.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Cam began exploring additional professional interests and passions outside of her day job. She established LeadHERShip Strategies™ as an LLC and since then, with our small team of consultants, we've accomplished quite a bit. We have enjoyed successful, freelance engagements with several nonprofits providing strategic and project management support for membership, marketing, and chapter governance initiatives.  

In 2022, through one of those engagements, Cam was inspired by the simple power of storytelling and its ability to impact people in an exciting and transformative way. She began thinking of the gaps...the inspirational stories we don't often hear or tell...and she began planning another chapter in the LeadHERShip Strategies journey. Now, she also shares the inspirational stories of women leaders through her popular LeadHERShip Bytes™ podcast. According to Spotify, the podcast has expanded to listeners in twelve countries between the ages of 25 to 60+.

While Cam is thrilled by this success, she remains grounded and humble. Her goal has never been to make her own name great. Rather, she hopes that her work, podcast, and impactful service lifts, inspires, and empowers others. Because Cam believes that's where the fire often begins. Something special inspires people, helps to ignite an internal flame of determination that propels them forward, and hopefully, that benefits others. It is her sincere hope that her work and the stories she shares help to accomplish that.
